Paint spill causes bit of a splash in Newry
This Newry street got an unplanned coat of paint yesterday.
Litres of white emulsion were thrown over the pavement as a pallet of paint fell from a lorry that was delivering to Alexander Hanna's hardware store on Upper Water Street.
The spillage blocked the entrance to Crozier's, one of the oldest pubs in the city.
A manager at the bar said it was the second time this had happened, but this was much worse as it was splattered over the front of the pub.
The big clean-up operation was still ongoing last night.
