Two men in their thirties have been arrested by immigration officials during an operation in Co Antrim.

The pair, 35 and 36, were detained when Home Office enforcement officers, acting on intelligence, swooped on the Bambou Chinese restaurant at Twelfth Milestone, Templepatrick.

The men, of Chinese origin, are being held at an immigration detention centre pending deportation.

The employer could also face a £40,000 fine if they fail to provide proof that necessary checks were carried out.
