Pair tied up during Co Londonderry armed robbery

Two men have been tied up during an armed robbery at a house in Co Londonderry.

A number of men - one armed with a handgun and a knife - entered a house in the Tobermore Road area of Maghera on Wednesday night.

The gang tied up a 47-year-old man in the house at the time and a second, aged 51, who arrived at the property a short time later.

The robbers took cash, laptops and watches before making off the owner's black Mercedes.

It was later found in the Brough Road area of Castledawson.

The victims suffered minor injuries to their wrists and were treated for shock at the scene.

Police have appealed for information.
