Police said the men have been taken to hospital for treatment on injuries that have been described as serious.

A pedestrian has died following a crash in Co Antrim.

The man was hit by a lorry on the A26 Glenavy Road, at around 7.30am this morning.

It happened at the Moira Road roundabout.

An ambulance crew was sent to the scene.

The road was closed for a period. It has since been reopened.

The road will be closed again from 7pm to 8pm this evening to facilitate police to carry out a reconstruction to help determine the circumstances of the collision.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and take an alternative route if possible as some delay is expected.

Meanwhile, two men remain in a serious condition in hospital following a separate incident in Randalstown on Tuesday.

The two men were taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries that were described as serious.
