A pedestrian has been seriously injured in a collision in Lisburn.

The man was hit by a vehicle on the Knockmore Road, opposite the junction with Knockburn Drive, Lisburn at around 4.10pm on Tuesday July 12.

Police only released details of the incident on Thursday.

A PSNI spokeswoman added: “Police are treating this as a serious injury road traffic collision and I am appealing for anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact Police in Lisburn on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1087 13/07/16.

"Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
