Pensioner stuck in a deckchair for six hours
A pensioner who got stuck in a deckchair had a traumatic six-hour wait until a passing fire crew heard her cries for help.
The 73-year-old sunbather became trapped in the metal frame of a deckchair after the fabric gave way beneath her.
The woman escaped with just pins and needles after she was freed following her ordeal which lasted from 8am to just before 2pm.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire Service told the Daily Mail said: “We got an ambulance straight to the premises and she was taken by road ambulance for a precautionary check-up.”
