Pensioner suffers facial injuries in attack outside pub

A 73-year-old man has suffered injuries to his face after he was attacked outside a pub in Lisburn.

The assault happened outside a bar on the Kesh Road close to the Down Royal Racecourse, on Saturday evening, police have said.

Shortly after 7pm the pensioner was set upon in a car park.

He was taken to hospital for treatment for facial injuries.

A 21-year-old man arrested in relation to the attack has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
