Peter Weir praises Orange Order school work
Education Minister Peter Weir has applauded the Orange Order's educational materials after visiting the Museum of Orange Heritage in Belfast.
The school workbooks and handling boxes teach about the history of the institution and historical events such as the Glorious Revolution and the First and Second World Wars. There is also an educational zone for school visits.
After his visit, Mr Weir said: "I commend the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland on the educational outreach work that they are involved in."
Museum curator Dr Jonathan Mattison said: "Reaching out to pupils on a cross-community basis is serving to foster a greater understanding of Orangeism."
