Petrol bombs have been thrown at a flat in Lisburn.

The attack at Mourne View Park happened around 2.30am on Sunday.

Police said a ground floor window was smashed and a number of petrol bombs were thrown causing scorch damage to the inside of the property.

No one was in the home at the time and there were no reports of any injuries.

Three men were seen leaving the area on foot a short time later. One was described as wearing a light coloured hooded top while the others were dressed in dark hooded tops.

Detective Constable Chris Perks from the Police Service of Northern Ireland has appealed for anyone with information to contact detectives in Lisburn on 101 quoting reference number 241 of 12/06/16.
