Published 23/11/2011

Songwriter Phil Coulter is to headline a concert being hosted at Belfast’s Ulster Hall to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Downpatrick’s twinning with Listowel in Co Kerry.

The Downpatrick & Co Down Railway Society and the Kerry Literary & Cultural Centre are to benefit from the concert which is taking place this Saturday night.

Londonderry composer and singer Coulter will headline a line-up which also features guests including the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, leading pianist Una Hunt, the ‘King of the Accordion’ Liam O’Connor and Ulster Scots group Kintra.

The event is to celebrate the strong links that have developed between Downpatrick and Listowel since 1981, including cross-community and cross-border exchanges, promoting social, cultural and economic links.
