Pictured: Police Federation reveal extent of PSNI officer's injuries after Crumlin brick attack
The Police Federation of Northern Ireland has revealed the extent of the injuries suffered by a police woman attacked with a brick while she dealt with anti-social behaviour in Crumlin.
Police attended to a report of anti-social behaviour in The Glen area of the Co Antrim village on Sunday night.
A group of youths had gathered in the area.
The officer was hit on the head and taken to hospital and needed five stapled inserted into her head.
The mother was later released from hospital in the early hours of the morning.
Police have appealed for witnesses to contact investigating officers.
The Police Federation represents rank and file PSNI officers.
