Published 11/08/2016

Police have issued a warning after a car crash-landed on its roof after being driven dangerously in west Belfast.

Officers posted photos of the aftermath of the vehicles in the Colinwell area on Wednesday night.

The occupants set the vehicle alight before fleeing.

They said: "These photos show what is left of a vehicle which was driven dangerously in the Colinwell area last night at approximately 8pm before crashing and landing on it's roof some 20 feet from the road.

"The cowardly occupants then set the vehicle alight before running away before Woodbourne LPT officers and fire service attended.

"Please continue to report these death drivers to Police if you see them on the roads. Not only are these careless and thoughtless individuals putting themselves at risk but it could be you or your loved one who falls victim to their dangerous actions. Your call to Police could save a life."
