Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a man in his 20s died following a motorcycle crash in north Belfast.

Eddie Hall was killed following a crash on Fife Street some time between 4.30am and 5am on Saturday morning.

Inspector Paul Noble said: "I would appeal particularly to a cyclist who was on the York Road between 4.15am and 4.45am or to anyone who saw a motorbike in the area at the time to contact Tennent Street Police Station or the collision investigation unit at Antrim Police Station on the non emergency number 101." North Belfast councillor and Deputy Lord Mayor Guy Spence described the incident as is "absolutely devastating".

"The area certainly is in shock," he said. "Our sympathies, thoughts and prayers go out to the victim's family.

"Certainly we lend all of our support to the family who are grieving on the loss of a son, nephew or even grandson."
