PM treated to Game Of Thrones tour

David Cameron has burnished his credentials as a fan of TV epic Game Of Thrones during visit to the set.

The Prime Minister could not hide his delight as he toured the studios in Belfast where the Sky series has been filmed since 2010.

Mr Cameron and wife Samantha were shown the Great Sept of Baelor, site of some of the most dramatic scenes in the racy and violent fantasy hit.

He was even able to identify many of the props in the armoury, including the crossbow belonging to Tyrion Lannister.

However, the Tory leader - who has previously said his favourite character is Ned Stark - stopped short of hefting a sword.

The eight-acre Titanic Studios site on the river Lagan has been granted funding for an expansion that would make it one of Europe's largest film production locations.
