Police appeal after attempted break-in at Bangor primary school
Police are appealing for witnesses after a number of people attempted to gain access to a primary school in Bangor.
It happened in the early hours of Thursday morning at Ballyholme Primary School.
The alarm was activated and security attended first followed shortly by police.
A police spokesman said: "We believe at least a couple of persons were involved and on this occasion the alarm system seems to have done the job.
"If the intruders had hung around any longer they would have hopefully got to meet our not so friendly police dog."
Anyone who noticed anything suspicious last night is urged to contact police.
