Police appeal after man dies in Cookstown after being hit by red Mercedes car

A man has died after being knocked down in Co Tyrone.

He was hit by a red Mercedes car on Lissan Road in Cookstown shortly before midnight.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has closed the road while investigations take place.

Inspector Robert McGowan has appealed for any witnesses to come forward on 101.
