Police appeal over attack in west Belfast

A man who sustained head injuries when he was assaulted in the street is recovering in hospital.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was attacked by three men on west Belfast's Norglen Road shortly before 7pm on Saturday.

His condition was yesterday said to be stable.

A 19-year-old man arrested in connection with the assault has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them at Grosvenor Road police station on 0845 600 8000, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
