Police hunt missing sex offender
Police are hunting a registered sex offender who has been missing for over a month.
Paul Hunter Redpath, 40, originally from Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, was last seen in Aberdeen on July 19. Grampian Police said it does not know where he is now.
At Belfast Crown Court in 2006, he was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting two teenage girls in Downpatrick, Co Down.
The force said Mr Redpath, who has a history of disappearing, is alleged to have failed to comply with registration requirements and is now being treated as a "wanted person".
Chief Inspector Allan Ross, of Grampian Police, said: "We have contacted our colleagues nationally along with partner agencies in relation to tracing Redpath. However there have been no recent sightings of him.
"We are issuing this appeal to the public to assist us in tracing him and I would urge anyone with any information about Redpath or of his current whereabouts to contact us."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0845 600 5700 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
