Police investigate 'serious' Halloween assault in Belfast involving man dressed as doctor

Police are probing an alleged serious assault in south Belfast during Halloween which involved a man dressed as a doctor.

According to a post on the PSNI's South Belfast Facebook page, two men and a woman were involved in an assault at around 12.30am close to the Botanic Inn on the Malone Road.

Police said the 'serious assault' involved a "male wearing a white medical suit" who "was involved in an altercation with another male and female".

The woman is said to be in her mid-20s, approximately 5’6 in height, slim build, blonde hair, wearing a black top, grey patterned mini skirt and white heels.

The male is described as, slim but muscular build, 25-27 years old, approximately 5’8 in height, sandy/ginger coloured hair that appears to be a number one on the sides and number three on the top.

Police are appealing for information.
