Police investigating attack on Larne house arrest woman on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice
Detectives in Larne investigating a hijacking and an attack on a house in the early hours of Monday morning have arrested a 30-year-old woman.
She was arrested in the Larne area on Tuesday evening on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice and obstructing police.
A 30-year-old man arrested yesterday evening remains in police custody.
On Monday morning shots were fired at a house in the Brustin Brae area while a woman and three young children were inside.
Police said a Volkswagon Bora was hijacked in the Craigy Hill area of the town by two masked men armed with shotguns.
It was then driven to a property in the Brustin Brae Road area where it was set alight outside a garage.
Police also conducted two searches in the area on Monday night.
