Police investigating dissident activity make three arrests after searches in Belfast
Police investigating dissident republican activity have arrested three people following searches in Foxes Glen in west Belfast and Hamill Street in the city centre.
It is understood the police had been in the Foxes Glen area since early on Monday morning.
Army technical officers and forensics were also at the scene.
Detective Inspector Stuart Griffin said: "A number of items have been recovered from two properties and will be taken for further examination.
"Two men aged 37 and 48, and a woman aged 35 have been arrested and taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave station for questioning. There are no further details at present."
