Police probe link between Lisburn assaults after pensioner attacked
Police are probing a link between assaults in Lisburn after two men - including a pensioner in his 80s - were attacked.
The first attack happened in the Knockmore Square area at around 7.35pm.
A man in his 80s suffered head injuries during an attack at a house in the area.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Elsewhere, a man was assaulted close to a house in the Rosslyn Park of the city shortly before 10.30pm.
The victim's injuries are not thought to be serious.
It's believed the attacker made off towards the Ballinderry Road area.
Police have appealed for information and are investigating a link between the assaults.
