Police have ruled out criminal activity in the circumstances surrounding a woman's fall from a window in Co Tyrone.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was left in a critical condition after the fall on Monday, November 14.

Police and medical staff attended the Mourne Crescent area of Coalisland, with the seriously injured woman taken to Craigavon Area Hospital.

The Southern Health and Social Care Trust confirmed that the woman is now in a stable condition.

Police investigating the circumstances of the incident arrested four people at the property - three men aged 24, 25 and 34 along with a 29 year-old woman.

They confirmed on Thursday that the incident was a result of a fall and "not any criminal act".

The four people who were assisting police with their enquiries have been released unconditionally.
