Police seize counterfeit tobacco in east Belfast
Police have seized counterfeit tobacco with an estimated street value in excess of £23,000 and are urging people to be vigilant in this festive shopping period.
A substantial quantity of tobacco was seized in east Belfast following a number of searches yesterday.
Chief Inspector Mark McEwan said: "These goods appear genuine but in reality customers are buying cheap imitations." Police say they will continue to target the trade.
