Policewoman injured in gun accident

A woman police officer has been injured in an accidental shooting in Londonderry.

The incident happened at a police station shortly before 8am. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, the PSNI said.

A spokesman added: "A police officer has been taken to hospital following the accidental discharge of a firearm at Strand Road police station."
