Polish woman charged with running Belfast brothel and controlling prostitution
A woman appeared in court today charged with controlling prostitution in Belfast.
Malgorzata Nojik, 31, is also accused of running a brothel in the city.
She is one of three Polish women to be charged in connection with an alleged sex operation uncovered by police earlier this year.
Nojik, of Brookbank Road, Lewisham, London, faces charges of controlling the activities of a prostitute and managing a brothel between January 29-31.
A police officer told Belfast Magistrates' Court she could connect the accused to both alleged offences.
Nojik was released on continuing bail after a judge heard she was due to catch a flight back to England.
Her case was adjourned to a later date when it will be heard with those of her two co-accused.
Alexandra Dubicka, 25, of Oakhampton Road, and Bozena Kruszewska, 25, of Dunton Road, both in London, each face the same two charges.
Kruszewska is further accused of trafficking within the UK.
