Prince shows his soft side during visit to Bucharest
The Prince of Wales showed his caring side when he gave a little boy a bear hug - after learning about his own bloodthirsty relative, Vlad the Impaler.
When Charles spotted the son of his friend William Blacker, he reached out, wrapped his arms around 11-year-old Valentin and beamed.
Charles was in Bucharest's historic Old Town learning about its architectural history and saw the statue of the 15th century nobleman - famed for impaling his enemies on stakes - and the ruined remains of his royal court.
Mr Blacker, a writer turned architectural conservationist who joined Charles for part of his tour, said later: "He loves my son."
Valentin added: "It's not the first time he's hugged me."
