Assembly members have been left shocked after it emerged that the designers of Northern Ireland's new police training college are still owed £4m.
Building work at Desertcreat near Cookstown isn't due to start until October, but the college has been mired in problems over spiralling costs.
In February the Belfast Telegraph revealed that two firms of consultants had under-estimated the cost of the £135m project by tens of millions of pounds.
Deputy Chief Constable Judith Gillespie told the Justice Committee that around £20m had been clawed back, leaving the current overspend at £18m.
In March, the design team – who have been paid £6m – were accused of "professional incompetence" at Stormont.
