PSNI efforts over hate crimes praised
Efforts to tackle the scourge of hate crime against Northern Ireland's ethnic minorities have been addressed by police during a first-ever multi-agency seminar.
During the meeting, involving campaign groups working with migrants and the Probation Board, police bosses illustrated the benefits of pooling resources to address hate crime issues.
Assistant Chief Constable Stephen Martin said that culprits need to face justice.
"Collectively, we need to send a strong message that hate crime is not acceptable, and where it occurs, seek to catch those responsible and place them before the courts."
Eva Grosman,of Unite Against Hate campaign commended the PSNI for leading the way "in addressing and improving response to hate crime across NI".
