PSNI Headquarters security alert 'nothing untoward'
Army bomb experts examining a suspicious package which was delivered to PSNI Headquarters earlier today have declared it 'nothing untoward.'
Chief Superintendent Nigel Grimshaw has confirmed that the complex has not been evacuated and Police HQ remained open.
There has been no impact on traffic using the Knock dual carriageway.
It comes just one week after a letter-bomb was sent to the PSNI's headquarters addressed to Chief Constable George Hamilton.
The alert was raised after a suspicious package in a brown padded bag with a white address label was received by post at the east Belfast headquarters.
PSNI Superintendent Sam Donaldson said someone could have been seriously hurt.
