The PSNI has issued an appeal for witnesses and information about a road crash in Portadown which left two men critically ill in hospital.

The crash happened on the Mahon Road area of Portadown on Wednesday night.

A PSNI spokesman said the incident was reported to police at around 9.40pm on Wednesday.

"The driver of a silver Renault Clio lost control of their vehicle on the Mahon Road in Portadown," he said.

"This resulted in the car driving through a wire fence and ending up overturned onto its roof in a concrete yard.

"The incident left a number of people injured, including two males who remain in a critical condition in hospital."

The PSNI has appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or have any information regarding the collision to contact officers in Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 12/10/16.
