Racist vandals have smashed the windows of a house in east Belfast, the city’s deputy Lord Mayor has said.
Alliance councillor Maire Hendron said stones were thrown by two males at a house in Edith Street on Saturday at around 10.45pm.
“I am shocked and appalled that this racist attack has taken place. Crimes of this nature have no place in our society and are completely unacceptable,” she said.
“We must do more than simply condemn these attacks, which is why it was important that the long awaited racial equality strategy was finally published last month.”
