Rain, floods ... it must be summer
Welcome to summertime, Northern Ireland style.
It says July on the calendars, but it seems no one told that to the skies.
The rain poured down yesterday, causing some localised floods and ever-deepening puddles elsewhere.
It was hardly the ideal day for a massive cruise ship to dock in Belfast.
The impressive vessel was barely visible, given the driving rain.
Belfast's Shore Road was one of the locations hit by flooding.
If the forecasters can be believed, the outlook for the rest of the week is a little more encouraging.
Today is expected to feature some spots of drizzle, but should otherwise be fairly bright with a few sunny intervals.
Thursday and Friday are also a mixed picture with wet and bright spells.
Whisper it quietly - Saturday could even be quite nice.
