Revealed: The Northern Ireland towns where you die younger
Life expectancy in Northern Ireland is among the worst in the UK, according to a new survey.
Belfast, Londonderry and the Co Tyrone towns of Strabane and Castlederg have all been placed in the bottom end of a list in which people living in the Somerset beauty spot of Hinton St. George can expect to live the longest of all.
The towns were you can expect to die younger, according to the study include Castlederg, Strabane and Belfast which came in an alarming second, third and fourth worst, with Derry coming in sixth worst place.
Northern Ireland features in four of the bottom 15 places but not one town or city is among the top 15 of the list compiled by Global consultants Towers Watson, which studied the mortality rates of 1.5million retired people in 51 final salary pension schemes.
