Road racer in appeal over dog tag lost in crash
The wife of road racer John McGuinness has appealed to fans to help find the dog tag worn by the rider when he crashed at the North West 200.
The Englishman said he was facing "a long road to recovery" after breaking four vertebrae, three ribs and fracturing his leg in a smash on the north coast circuit.
Yesterday his wife Rebecca tweeted: "Just want to ask if anyone has found John's dog tag. It has sentimental value - his children got it for him.
"He keeps asking for it".
McGuinness (45) said it had an image of St Christopher - patron saint of travellers - on the front.
He added: "It means a lot. Won the odd race in it too!"
