Rory McIlroy in money at Open after wager win

It's a winning streak that Holywood golfer Rory McIlroy hopes will continue.
In a relaxed moment at the Royal Liverpool course at Hoylake, McIlroy and fellow Northern Irish golfer Darren Clarke headed out for a practice round.
They teed off at around 6am playing for their usual bet, and it was 25-year-old McIlroy who shot the lowest round and was the very proud recipient of the £20 note from Clarke.
As Clarke laughed, McIlroy paraded his winnings in front of his face, lifting it in the air and kissing it.
McIlory held his crisp note high and was happy to pose for photos. While it may be all fun and games now, the wager is about to get a lot bigger as McIlroy hopes to pick up the Open title at Royal Liverpool this week – where he could add his solitary note from Clarke to a hefty £975,000 winnings.
