Some say that love is blind.

This could perhaps account for Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki's assertion that her other half, double major golf winner Rory McIlroy, is the double of One Direction boy band heart-throb Harry Styles.

After Caroline (23) and Rory (24) – or Wozzilroy as the sporting power couple are affectionately known – watched the new One Direction film, This is Us, Wozniacki shared a message with her 540,000 Twitter followers.

"Went to see the @onedirection movie with @McIlroyRory! They have won me over! @Harry_Styles and Rory should swap jobs sometimes! #lookalike."

Fans on Twitter were quick to cast doubt on her claim.

Both young men share the same type of floppy hairstyle, but that's seemingly where the similarity ends.

For those not convinced, Caroline (right), currently tennis' world number eight, posted the photograph (above) and added: "To people who say I am blind lol.. @Harry_Styles @McIlroyRory."

Last month, there was intense speculation the young couple had split after fans noticed they had both changed their Twitter profile pictures from a "his and hers" shot, to single portrait photographs.

But the showbiz rumours were unfounded.

Caroline reinstated a snap of herself with Rory, tweeting: "Since my profile pic made big headlines I better change it again lol."

And McIlroy is reported to have said: "Just because we changed our Twitter profile picture doesn't mean that we're not together."

Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki and Co Down golfer Rory McIlroy, both former world number ones, have been dating since the summer of 2011. The couple, affectionately known as Wozzilroy, were spotted shopping in Manhattan earlier this week, both wearing pink tops.
