Rory McIlroy roasted by 9-year-old on his favourite female tennis player, Zika virus, and friendship with Donald Trump and Niall Horan
Rory McIlroy is used to fielding the questions of the media - but there was nowhere for him to hide as he was roasted by a child interviewer on the eve of his DP World Tour Championship defence.
The four-time major winner was given a grilling by 9-year-old Billy and no topic was off-limits.
The European Tour’s BIG Little Interview series has featured interviews with golfers Graeme McDowell, Thomas Bjørn and Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston as well as One Direction superstar Niall Horan.
From Rory's questionable haircuts at the start of his career, to his favourite female tennis player to his friendships with Donald Trump and Niall Horan - everything was on the table.
Wasting no time, Billy went straight on the attack presenting a photo of a young Rory when he had his wild curly hair asking, "what were you thinking?"
Rory replies: "It was a phase Billy. My dad was telling me you have to get your hair cut, and I should have listened to him."
Moving on from that one, the 2016 Olympics was next.
Earlier this year McIlroy was one of 20 players to withdraw from competing at the Olympic Games, citing fears about the Zika virus.
He was asked by the youngster: "If you're so tough how come you're so scared of a mosquito?"
To which he replied: "Good question, when I get older if I want to have kids then it might have been a good decision.
"Everything that happened in the Olympics went well and I'm glad it all did go well.
"A few people used that excuse and I jumped on the bandwagon."
They then moved on to a more personal issue as he was asked who is his favourite female tennis player - a throwback to McIlroy's very public break-up with former fiancee and Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.
After some nervous laughter, McIlroy responds: "I've stop following women's tennis the last couple of years."
To which Billy declares is "maybe a good call".
McIlroy has many famous friends - and among those is a special relationship he has with President-Elect Donald Trump.
In 2015, Trump returned to McIlroy the three-iron he threw into a lake in frustration on his course.
Meanwhile, One Direction star Niall Horan, who has launched his own golf management company called Modest! Golf, has struck up a friendship with the golfer.
But who tried the hardest to be his friend - Donald Trump or Niall Horan?
McIlroy laughed: "I think we're all trying to be Donald Trump's friend at the minute. They both love golf and that's a great thing.
"And because I'm good at it it's nice to have a relationship. I'd say Trump tried a little harder than Niall did."
The Holywood golfer said he would text Niall back first - and would let Trump "sweat it out".
And the tell-all interview ended with McIlroy laughing as Billy gave him a wedding gift ahead of his wedding to Erica Stoll next year.
When presented with a box of socks McIlroy looked perplexed before Billy quipped - "just incase you get cold feet again".
