Rory McIlroy rues making bad lunch decision in China as he becomes unwell ahead of WGC-HSBC Champions
Rory McIlroy probably didn't expect the most stressful decision he would make this week to be his choice of lunch in China.
The former World Number one golfer, who is currently ranked third, took to social media to inform his fans that he was a little unwell following an unfortunate lunch decision.
Who would have thought the eel would be the safer bet!? Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow pic.twitter.com/K5vuGHbq5C— Rory Mcilroy (@McIlroyRory) November 3, 2015
It comes just two days before he is due to start the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai.
Poor Rory who is used to being number one indicated that he was experiencing, er, number twos, as he tweeted a photograph of his lunch menu suggesting he had eaten a dodgy club sandwich - including some descriptive emoticons.
He posted: "Who would have thought the eel would be the safer bet!? Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow."
The Holywood man is in Shanghai to compete in the WGC-HSBC Champions.
He will be hoping to improve on his performance in the Turkish Airline Opens last weekend where his putting let him down leaving him finishing sixth.
Speaking at the time McIlroy said: "It was not the finish I wanted but I feel like I've seen good enough signs this week to suggest I can play well the next couple."
"My game didn't hope up as well as I wanted it to today but next week is another opportunity to get myself into the mix again and see if I can handle it a bit better."
Feel better soon Rory!
