The Belfast Telegraph is proud to launch the fourth annual Run Forest Run series of winter races.

The events will be held in forests in a variety of locations around Northern Ireland - each offering a diverse range of settings for the runner to enjoy through the winter months.

Joanne Hayden, marketing manager of the Belfast Telegraph, said: "As Northern Ireland's leading newspaper, we are thrilled to build on the relationship we already have with runners and sponsor this fantastic series for the second year running."

The first of the eight races, Run Forest Run Minnowburn, will take place on November 5 and start on the newly refurbished Mary Peters Track before heading off into the forest.

For the first time this year there will also be a 5K route at each of the eight venues in the series. All runners will receive commemorative medals, with each race having its own customised medal design. Runners who complete six of the eight races will receive a special edition Run Forest Run T-shirt.
