Runner-up Ashleigh is still a Big Brother star
Londonderry woman Ashleigh Coyle made Big Brother history last night – for the first time ever the final was between two women and she was one of them.
Alas, the 18-year-old part-time model and bookies' favourite to win lost out to the 2014 victor, Helen Wood.
The two women embraced and squealed when Helen's name was read out by presenter Emma Willis on the Channel Five reality show.
Dressed in a floaty fairy-like dress and sky-high heels, the blonde almost stumbled as she made her way, beaming, down the famous Big Brother steps last night.
Northern Ireland was well represented with Fivemiletown's Christopher Hall the last man standing after coming third.
The 23-year-old said he treasured every moment he had in the house and has "one million and one happy memories" of his time there.
