Sammy Wilson's bank probe fury
The DUP's Sammy Wilson has said a decision by regulators to ditch a review into Britain's banking culture is "a disgrace".
The Financial Conduct Authority dropped its probe and announced it would instead "engage individually with firms to encourage their delivery of cultural change".
East Antrim MP Mr Wilson said the public purse was "still crippled with the cost of bailing out these reckless bankers".
"The promise to look at individual banks is a smokescreen for doing nothing and quietly dropping this review," he added.
"No doubt it is a result of political direction as the Conservative party look after their banking friends and hope short-term growth will be stimulated by relaxed financial regulation."
