Police are investigating a sectarian attack on an Orange hall in Co Antrim.

It is understood that anti-loyalist graffiti was spray-painted on to Dungonnell Orange Hall sometime between midnight on Tuesday and yesterday afternoon.

PSNI Constable Andrea Johnston has appealed for anyone with any information about the incident to contact police at Antrim on 101.

Former DUP councillor and Orange man Brian Graham lives close to the hall just outside Crumlin, and claimed it was also paint-bombed in the run up to the Twelfth last month.

Ulster Unionist councillor Mervyn Rea said: "None of us are hot-headed loyalists. I don't know why we should be targeted."

DUP councillor Trevor Clarke described the attack as "disgusting" and condemned those behind it, adding: "these attacks must stop".
