Shopowners fined for cigs sale to minor
The owners of a west Belfast shop have been fined a total of £800 for displaying and selling cigarettes to a minor.
Noel Dyer of N&N's in Slievegallion Drive was fined £200 for displaying cigarettes to a person under the age of 18, and a further £400 for subsequently selling them to the person concerned.
Nicola Dyer of the same address was fined £100 for each of the same two offences.
The offences were detected last November, and both defendants were ordered to pay separate costs to Belfast City Council, which brought the prosecution at Belfast Magistrates Court yesterday.
