Silicon Valley bosses to be wooed

More than 120 Silicon Valley business executives are due to attend a Northern Ireland investment lunch next month.

First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness will host the meeting aimed at attracting new commerce.

The ministers will also hold talks with Seagate Technology senior management in San Jose in California. The firm employs more than 1,300 people in Derry.

Mr McGuinness said: "The company makes a major contribution to the economy of the north west and this is our first opportunity to meet Seagate's senior management team at its US headquarters and we look forward to it."

On March 10 they meet top HBO executives. HBO filmed part of the Game Of Thrones television fantasy drama series in Northern Ireland.

The ministers will also support the Cinemagic charity at a Los Angeles event, including disadvantaged young people from Northern Ireland and the US.

They will spend time in Washington DC for engagements connected with St Patrick's Day.
