Sinn Fein's McElduff hits out over social media death threat
Sinn Fein MP Barry McElduff has hit out after he received a death threat.
The West Tyrone member of parliament said the threat was made on social media after he posted a video over the weekend.
Condemning the threat, he added: "A sinister threat was made against me on social media after posting a video over the weekend."
Mr McElduff did not offer any other comment about the matter.
A PSNI spokesperson said they do not discuss individual cases.
Mr McElduff was elected to Westminster earlier this year after a lengthy career in local government and Stormont politics.
In July, a teenager appeared in court, charged over threats made to DUP leader Arlene Foster.
The message sent to Mrs Foster stated that she should "go hang herself" and the message also stated that it hoped her family got "a few in the head".
