The M2 motorway has reopened following a six vehicle crash.

The crash happened on the M2 southbound between Sandyknowes and Greencastle.

Police advised motorists of long delays advised drivers to exit the motorway at Sandyknowes roundabout.

A spokesman for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said a child had been taken to hospital with complaints of neck pain.

Police are also advising motorists to drive with extreme caution due to the poor driving conditions as the result of a hail storm.

The motorway has since reopened.

It comes just one day after a fatal six vehicle collision on the M1.
