Snow flights, know your rights
The Consumer Council is encouraging air passengers to make sure they know their rights when travelling amidst severe weather conditions.
Their ‘Plane Facts’ guide includes everything passengers need to know when flying, including your rights if your flight is delayed or cancelledand what to do if things go wrong.
For example, if your flight is delayed by two hours or more your airline is required to provide you with meals and refreshments appropriate to the length of the delay and two free telephone calls or emails.
If you are delayed overnight your airline must provide hotel accommodation and transport to and from the hotel.
