Snowboarder Aimee Fuller looking to flipside in quest for Olympic glory at 2014 Winter Games in Sochi
She was the first female snowboarder to land a double back flip in competition – and she calls Northern Ireland home.
Aimee Fuller, from Bangor, Co Down, is one of the most exciting talents in women's snowboarding and one of Team GB's brightest hopes for the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia
The 22-year-old former Sullivan Upper pupil has been living in Northern Ireland with her parents and younger brother for the last six years.
"It's home," she said.
"It's a really nice place to come and escape the mayhem.
"Over the summer I got involved with the North Down cycling club. There are such beautiful coastlines and when you get the weather there isn't anywhere better."
Aimee's career highlights include being placed sixth at this year's European X Games and winning the Dachstein Pleasure Jam two years in a row.
"I spend most of my time travelling all over the world," she said. "It's crazy wild. I'm living the dream."
Aimee, who grew up in the south of England, will find out mid-January if she has qualified for the Winter Olympic Games in Russia next February.
