A man arrested over a string of four armed robberies in two days in south Belfast has been bailed by police.

The first robbery took place at around 8.30am on Thursday in the Ormeau Road area of the city, followed by two more in Botanic Avenue at 9.55am and 8.30pm.

A fourth business, Vivo newsagents on Ormeau Road, was targeted by a man wielding a knife at 4pm on Friday, officers said.

A 23-year-old man has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Anyone with information is asked to contact Musgrave PSNI station on 101.
